The neutral nature of information isn't always a good thing. It means that its interpretation is subject to the bias of whoever looks at it - which means how it's used often ends up being based on the popularity contest. The final result can be completely ridiculous and detrimental to the point where you wonder why you bothered unearthing the data to begin with.
