"Mentoring" is one of those alleged benefits to office presence that makes less sense the more you think about it. To be fair, the theory behind it is sound. Until you consider that 1: Mentoring in a work setting takes up time that nobody wants to give up, 2: Not everyone gets to be mentored, and 3: Not all leaders are interested in it, anyway.
