Most Victorian's dressed very modestly, covering up their chests, necks and well.. everything else. There is that old joke about a woman was considered loose if they showed an ankle. Low cut dresses or dresses that showed the chest region were ONLY appropriate as evening dresses and were quite fashionable. But Gretchen still doesn’t like them ��
