This whole time we've been so distracted by Meredith's budding magical powers, we couldn't have noticed that Gillian has been having conversations with the Tall Man at the Red lodge in the background. And, yes, in this Twin Peaks analogy, Meredith is local the Log Lady. Maybe a tiny bit of Audrey, but like 99.9% Log Lady, haha. Also, I beg of you, do not notice Gillian's magic re-appearing chair.
