Japanese need to be more wary of English...and non-Asians need to be more wary of kanji/Chinese characters haha. I mean, maybe the guy was a free spirit? Maybe he knew it meant no cost but it anyway, being a free spirit and all. Oh the pencil case, my student did a still drawing of it for a festival...for children and adults and seniors to see. Surely Japanese teens know what it means, right?
