I feared this episode would have a dark turn with the discussion of the slave trade, but only late in my research I found the link with Boko Haram. Unfortunately, few stories in African history have a happy ending. Let's hope next episode is a bit more cheerful. Also note that there are almost no contemporary visual references for these empires, so take my visual choices with a grain of salt :)
