Nearly two decades ago, there was a great massacre of the magical peoples of Ithir by humanity. Now the few remaining are forced to live in hiding, underneath the thumb of those with iron blood. Erain, a young telepath orphaned by the slaughter, has his life saved by a powerful manipulator of magic, who is revealed to be the king of Earithir and famed mindwarper, Ceiro Hain-Inihu. Together they strive to restore freedom and peace for their kind, and heal the wounds left by selfish violence.
