I have (accidentally) superheated a reaction before on a small scale using a microwave reactor. So, this comic is a slight exaggeration~ FYI, if you ever think you have superheated a solution, the safest thing to do is to turn off the heating system, wait for it to cool down, add some boiling chips or sticks, then restart the heating process. Don’t touch it like I did in the comic
