I’ve been posting daily water studies on my social media accounts and I wanted to share some of my favorites so far! 🌊

I started doing this daily challenge because I felt that my skills were a little rusty in my last few episodes. The ending of this arc will have a lot of open ocean scenes with lots of waves so I think that it would be good to practice a bit more.

Ocean waves are hard! There’s a lot of varying tones and colors and the way the water reflects light is hard to understand 😅 I limit myself to only spending 30-40 minutes on each painting so that I can avoid overworking the piece. It also helps with prioritizing the most important details and becoming faster at drawing in general.
