Creator
Izumi can't control how he feels, no matter how nice at least some of them seem. He can control how he acts though, and that's why he acted as polite as possible at their meeting. Some people complained that Izumi was rude to them, but the only "rude" part were his thoughts. If you read only what he said aloud, it was just neutral polite.
