As I was drawing this I don't know why, but I was thinking of the romance manga Mars by Fuyumi Soryo. It was the first manga I ever got and it's volume 6. I got it when I was like 8 and with the themes in that one volume, it's probably not the kids. I read the whole series online a few years back and it's really good.
