Something I couldn't really get into is how people from Berwick feel today, considering themselves Berwickers before English, or Scottish. Getting tossed around for centuries would leave you unsympathetic to both countries I suppose. Also Berwick was still at war with Russia until the 1960s due to a technicality. A bit of levity for this blackest of historical events.
