I post this with the disclaimer that I was very lucky to be in a school district where roughly 30% of my high school student body was queer, and so many of my friends had already come out, so I already knew my friends would be okay with me coming out too. I am also very, very lucky that my parents were very accepting too. My grandparents aren’t too keen on it, but I'm grateful they still love me.
