I still remember how disorienting it was to stand at the absolute very deepest edge of the pool you were allowed to go into, seeing a sheer WALL of water coming right at you, then the world sort of becoming a scrambled mess, next thing you know you're practically LYING at the very shallowest end of the pool wondering how the heck you got all the way out there. It was amazing.
