The opening scene of Ottoway Vol 2, is a flashback sequence focusing on Edwin and Vincent's shared past. At 15, Edwin's father was killed. His mother, a poor Scotswoman, was too poor to take care of two sons. Edwin was sent to live with his middle-class Pomeranian uncle, who then sent him to live with relatives in Sweden. Edwin returned to the UK after finishing university in Sweden.
