-Most don’t notice the movie demonstrates how viruses function in real life, in his first scene. Lytic reproduction is precisely what happened to the cell on saliva boat. I see Thrax as the personification of a virus, controlling his virions/infection like a droid mothership from Star Wars. It’s why he can both inflame huge areas, or just make some goo on his meeting table when he feels like it.
