Posting a bit early! Notes: For most of the 1920s, windshield wipers were sold as separate accessories. Electric models were available, but most were operated by hand from a lever inside the vehicle. Driving a manual transmission car in heavy rain with no power steering or anti-lock brakes, wiping the windshield yourself and defogging with your sleeve would have been a rather harrowing adventure
