For the uninitated: "Unparenting children" - objects in a game are structured in hierarchies, where their relationship is described as parent and child. "Skinning" - A 3D model can be animated using a bone rig. Skinning is the part where we tell which bone should move which part of the model. "Compression" - Specifically "Crunch Compression" in unity - very handy for saving storage space!
