I live two states away so when I go home, I make sure I get to spend a week with my niece, the inspiration for Grace. One night, when bedtime came around, she came down the hall while I was watching television, and she very sweetly, very cheerfully, asked me if I wanted to “come watch ponies with me?” What could I say? “Of course baby”
