Here you can see one of my go-to storytelling techniques with the repeated panels. I’m not sure who to blame, probably Frank Miller or Akira Kurosawa. But one thing you can tell here is how in the top 2 panels it can be used for a sudden, jarring effect while at the same time, in the bottom row, I’m slowing things back down with it. So it’s definitely versatile.
