I haven't completely figured out the economy of this world yet, but I can say that 10,000 gold is considered exorbitant for even the rarest of rare weapons. From there I can work backwards to extrapolate the price of a standard sword, then the price of a loaf of bread, and soon enough I'll have established a fully realized fictional economic system. Worldbuilding!
