It took me more than 2 years to learn to eat again and I still slip up sometimes. It's very important to understand that - even if there is some internalized fatphobia at play - eating disorders have often not a lot to do with "being afraid of being fat" and are in fact deeply related to "being in control" of ones' body and deep self hate.
