I was inspired by Big Trouble In Little China with Kurt Russell, or Uncle Kurt as I call him (no relation). The truck, the name Jack, an ex-wife, etc. In my mind, these events take place as Mr. Burton leaves Chinatown on his way to his next stop. He doesn't even get past South SF before he's wrapped up in more supernatural B.S. But, neither Jack is fazed by the absurdity of their situation.
