As Audrey says, Todd is a Sonoran Desert Toad, aka Colorado River Toad. They are very large toads, and the toxin they produce is strong enough to kill a dog. It wasn’t until I was making these pages that I realized just how appropriate this is to Todd, who was an incredibly toxic person in his own right.
