On Chapter VIII (1/2)

So, this chapter takes place almost immediately after Chapter VI. Not much happens here, but it's still pretty important.
I have a feeling, though, that it'd be easier to understand characters' motivations if you're binge-reading... But that can be said about the comic in general :D Since Book I is closer and closer to the end, I'd recommend to re-read it when it's over (but do what you want, obviously:))

So, there's a lot of stuff in this episode that will come up in Book II! For example, Jan, whom you've already seen actually, is a recurring character that plays a big role further. Also, that's where the relationship between Aubin and Vit starts becoming really complicated.
Aubin wants to be ambitious, but he knows his limits. Vit, however, isn't happy he got promoted... Why? More about that later :p
