Creator
The designs for the dragons were partially influenced Muppet creature design and partially influenced by John R. Neill's depictions of dragons (which look nothing like Lord of the Rings dragons). I think the bird-like heads and armored torsos give them a certain je ne sais quoi that ties it all together.
