Coulomb's are inspired from Ohm's in the movie Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind. Coulomb eyes fetch a high price in the black market. They are used for modern architecture. The guy on top of the Coulomb, Victor, is stealing said eyes so he can make a quick buck and pay off his debts. Though, Victor did not kill the Coulomb. Rather he found it deceased in a grove of the Mothwood Forest.
