For Maya, life has been balck and white. However, there’s a bit of a gray area when she begins questioning her emotional encounters with Sam Miller, a boy who attends her high school. Maya must asses her beliefs on gender and sexual identity when she’s compelled to reconsider them in light of her feelings for Sam, who is transitioning from female to male. Although discovering her identty is trying, she is aided by the company of others who have just as many questions about themselves.
