Torn between a world of darkness and shadows, Cyrena Aine is dragged into the contest of all contests. The Dark King offers her freedom, if only she brings him a wish won from the gods themselves. To do this, she must beat several other highly trained contestants with nothing to lose. A piece of cake right? Freedom hanging tantalizingly in the distance Cyrena must figure out a way to outwit and outfight the other contestants, all the while keeping shadowy secrets close to her heart.
