Lindsey Ferguson’s favorite hobby is running. She doesn’t run for sport, for her health, or for her own enjoyment. Rather, she likes to run…away…and hide…from all her problems. The girls' anxiety is at an all time high when she is pulled away from her home in the woods by her family to live in the tropical community of Sonder Island. When her new school has a required field trip to the beach, she finds an odd place to hide, as she always does. But when her family finds her, the chase begins.
