my therapist says "glitches" are likely a result of repetitive trauma. like lagging in a game or traversing a dream, things keep changing- your subconscious just accepts it all as fact. a moment you're sure of, vivid as it was, never truly happened. proof surrounds you, but you hang on to the visual burned behind your eyes, and certainty means nothing to you anymore.
