This is the story of Aurora Rosethorne a newly knighted captain of the royal guard. She swore an oath to protect her city from any circumstances, but some of them come from her own Mother looking for ways to marry her to another wealthy and powerful family. But when she meets a scrawny, kind professor from the Arcane Academy everything starts to change.
