Seraphics, beings created from light in order to protect humans from creatures created by Death. However, Seraphics are now thought to be extinct as vampires live in secrecy. A centuries-old obligation brings havoc as the king of vampires is targeted by Alister, king of the vampire slayers. The weapon of choice, the only seraphic to appear in over 500 years, but that may not be done as easily as he hopes.
