Once I had the notion that it was things that people did when they were alone that made them interesting. Of course meeting and relating with people is important, but I believed social interactions would reflect the interests and pursuits people engaged in when they were alone. I distinctly remember having this idea because I once shared it with a pretty girl who thought it was pretty profound.
