A terrible illness has been ravaging the land for many seasons. Finch barely remembers life before it tore his family apart, he's spent his entire life fighting to keep the illness at bay and create a safe zone for the forest inhabitants. When a new comer shows up, clearly infected, but not turning or suffering the fatal effects, the small bit of peace that Finch has carved out is turned upside down. This newcomer brings promising lore of a cure at the sea, but first they have to make it there.
