Saladin: being an ex-breeder, he came with the alpha-complex from his previous "job". But we'd had Asher for over a year before adopting Saladin. So new guy fights old dude for Alpha, and loses. Saladin's pride got wounded, and now he's our little ball of anxiety. They don't fight anymore, and we find them snuggling daily. Guess it's just hard not being the rat-king with a harem. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
