The wind howled through the darkened forest as Akari stumbled across the rocky terrain. Her sharp, feline eyes scanned the horizon, catching the silhouette of a village in the distance. It was yet another town on her endless journey. The curse had never left her, its gnawing hunger constantly tugging at her insides, urging her to feast on the flesh of humans. "Why?" she muttered under her breath, her voice raw from the constant whispers in her mind. "Why did you do this to me?"
