Dashemoff Daily, Poet Laureate of Oz, is a pretty obscure character, as he didn't appear in any of the books. That's right! Once again, I'm pulling lore from the 1902/1903 stage musical adaptation of The Wizard of Oz. I made him into a donkey, but in the play, Dash was a human man, introduced as Dorothy Gale's love interest. But don't worry! He was played by a woman, so it was still pretty gay.
