Richard, a middle-aged man with no purpose in life aside from work, finds himself in the middle of an of alien apocalypse, where a parasite in the air is infecting people who have succumbed to gaping or severe wounds, and is making them reanimated corpses forced to breathe from those wounds. These creatures are dubbed Woundbreathers, and he has to survive as the world he knows crumbles around him ...with a really annoying Woundbreather named Creel who's only purpose seems to be bothering him.
