Melody is a member of a tribe of shapeshifters, who live far beyond the human realm. These people have the ability to shapeshift into particular animals when they come of age in their tribe, attending something called the Ceremony. When the opportunity arises, she jumps for it, becoming initiated into one of the five tribes. But will it be all that she's hoped for or will it be something more sinister?
