This is another one of those things I would have preferred to show over time rather than do an exposition dump like this. Unfortunately it's one of those restrictions of time and medium. BUT IN THE NOVEL (book 2 in whatever series my hubris is letting me imagine) it would be much more artfully woven in. BUT YEAH, THIS IS WHY CENRIC IS LIKE THAT (TM). HAPPY NEW YEAR!
