Magically inclined orphan, Annika Newford, isn't allowed to practice witchcraft in her catholic orphanage, until she is adopted by a mysterious woman in a pointy green hat named Marcelinda Tithersol. She provides her with an environment to be as magical as she wants, but not without Annika being held to an impossibly high standard.
