Frisk has called the underground her home for a full ten years. She's 21, nearly done with her education, and has all the friends she could ever want or need. What more was there? The thought of living out her life with the monsters under the ceiling of earth did not bother her, but there was something...a void? She could never pinpoint it. What was missing? What was she not seeing? Or feeling? Was her subconscious yearning for the surface or was what she needed right in front of her?
