After committing a crime she thought was justified, Comet is banished from her nomadic tribe before she could even finish her overdue rite of passage. As she is thrust into a dangerous and unpredictable world, she amasses quirky yet equally troubled travel companions, and faces seemingly insurmountable foes, everything from unruly marauders to vicious beasts to mysterious and tyrannical empires. All the while, she grapples with this dilemma: should she be seeking vindication, or atonement?
