When the teenager Rick starts seeing creatures no one else can, he meets Mistel, a talking shapeshifter fox who claims they were once best friends. She pulls him into a hidden world rooted in Nordic folklore, filled with hulders, trolls, and other vettefolk. As Rick begins to remember his past, he also discovers that something dangerous is tied to it. The deeper he goes into this world, the more he forgets his own, and he must figure out who he can trust before he loses himself completely.
