Shia's life is quite ordinary until one day, his father forces him to debut his qeej skills at the local Hmong funeral. He mistakenly looks at the descedent, even after being warned by his father. From there, Shia starts to see unusual and frightening anomolies which pry on him for favors. When he thought having a social life, a romantic interest was getting difficult, he has to face what's yet to come beyond the Shaman's veil.
