Twenty-year-old Margrotte Jensen is left a large company and an even larger amount of money by her husband after his untimely death. What does she do with this you may ask? She throws extravagant parties, balls, and events causing her self much public disgrace for a woman in the 1800's. But when she has a chance encounter with a maid at one of her parties, her whole world falls around her.
