Fa Mei Nong, once a privileged daughter of the noble Fa Family, becomes homeless after fleeing marriage proposal from a family she worked for. Seeking shelter, Fa Mei Nong finds Wild Orchid Temple, an abandoned temple, or so she assumes. Rummaging inside the temple, she finds a bowl of fresh peaches and decides to reside in the temple. However, the temple caretaker, Luo Pang Yi, finds and punishes her to spiritually marry a vengeful spirit.
