Ruoyu is numb to loneliness and detachment. She dropped out of college to save money and join a theater troupe. Too ashamed of her failed career to visit her family and after breaking up with her long-distance boyfriend, she relies on her friend Liya who introduces her to Zhao Lin, an uptight comedian who has decided to stop his habit of falling in and out of love too quickly.
