Earth has fallen into a dark age due to a horrific virus that destroys the elasticity of human skin. The disease is terminal and there is no cure. A treatment in its early stages has been developed which integrates the victim with a synthetic body. Ludivina is one of the privileged few who have received the experimental treatment. With her new body, she embarks on a mission to find a planet free of the disease, but the mission is not easy and she soon learns that “synths” are not to be trusted.
